Overview
I am a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at the Institut für Soziologie
at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. I am working there on
a the following projects:

Main project:
Study the impact of demographic processes on the reproduction
of educational attainment across generations in Germany.

Minor projects:
-
Study the impact of educational expansion (the fact that
people from more recent cohorts on average tend to attain
more eduction) on inequality of educational outcomes in
the Netherlands and Italy.

Study how the effect of family background on educational
attainment is mediated by school readiness of the pupils,
so called primary and secondary effects.

Besides these projects, I also implement a variety of statistical
models and graphical techniques in Stata, for example:

Sequential logit model (seqlogit)

Model estimating direct and indirect effects in a logistic
regression model (ldecomp)

Models for compositional data (betafit,
dirifit, and fmlogit)

Models for causal indicators (sheafcoef, and
propcnsreg)

Post-estimation commands for model with restricted
cubic splines (postrcspline)

Graphics (hangroot,and proprcspline)
My research interests are social stratification, statistics, and the
statistical package Stata.
